What is Community Space?
Community Space
is the home of High Peak CVS -
our building at 1a, Bingswood Trading Estate, Whaley Bridge.

Internally, the building has been modified considerably and is now a fully accessible meeting space.

It houses the community resource library, which contains a large number of books and other materials that voluntary and community groups can use, meeting and training rooms available for hire, and a range of useful equipment that can also be hired.

Community Space also houses office accommodation, not only for our staff and projects but also other voluntary and community groups operating locally have used the office space – NCH, Derbyshire Infrastructure Consortium, Sounds Good Project, Learning & Development Consortium and the Healthy Living Worker for Whaley Bridge and Chapel-en-le-Frith.

Finally, Community Space is the space we give to local voluntary and community groups to promote themselves in our quarterly newsletter, CommuniCation.

The training room has been extensively used so far this year - it has flipchart, OHP and screen and TV & video, and can be set out in various ways for up to about 20 people.

A smaller meeting room is also available, with a circular table which can seat 4 or 5 around it. The room is equipped with whiteboard and flipchart.
