Derbyshire Falls Prevention

Derbyshire County Council are running a falls prevention social marketing campaign (Live Stronger For Longer) to improve awareness of the risk of falls and how to prevent them.

The launch of Round 2 of the Small Grants (Falls).  Up to £500 for groups to run awareness raising activity.  It’s a really simple application form and open to teams and community groups.  You don’t even have to be a constituted group.  As well as the small grants, there is support to help people plan their activity.  They can join groups up with local speakers and provide publicity materials if needed. Deadline for applications 16 December.

Free training ‘Creative Approaches to Remote Engagement’.  This is a short 75 minute online training designed to help people think about different ways to engage with their communities online, and remotely.  As part of the Falls Prevention Campaign this will be talking about falls awareness, but the ideas shared can be used across any setting.   Two dates available and more details via the links below.

Thursday 26 November 1pm – 2.30pm

Thursday 3 December 2pm – 3.30pm
