CommuniCation is our quarterly newsletter. If you would like to receive a printed copy please contact Gina Spencer gina@highpeakcvs.org.uk .

CommuniCation is also available in Braille & large print versions. Please advise us if you would like to receive it in either of these formats.

If you would like to contribute to the next edition of CommuniCation, to tell others across the High Peak what is happening in your organisation, good news, a general update or a cry for help, please let Tony have your items.

Guidance for writing articles for CommuniCation

We actively encourage articles from voluntary & community groups working within the High Peak. These can be to update others on your project or organisation, share a success story or as a cry for help.

If you are considering submitting an item, please remember the following:

  • Articles should be a MAXIMUM of 450 words. If you can include a word count, please add it to the bottom of the page.
  • Please ensure that articles are submitted by the deadline.
  • Wherever possible, submit articles on disc or by email. Hand written or typed submissions will be considered, but need more work for us to use them.
  • Feel free to also send your organisations logo or a relevant photograph. If submitting a photograph, please ensure it is in focus and of good quality and resolution.
  • Although you will be talking about your organisation, please do so from our perspective:
E.g. If you are writing about your organisation THE SUNSHINE CHILDREN'S CLUB, instead of saying "we have.. " or "we are.." please use "they have…" or "they are…" This will keep your article in the same style as the rest of the publication.
  • Please add your contact details to the bottom of the article. Something along the lines of "For more information, contact Doug Garden, telephone 01234 456789, or email doug@gardening.co.uk".
  • We will endeavour to use your item, without making any alterations. However, it may be necessary to edit, reduce or omit your article due to space constraints or if we feel it is not in keeping with our policies and aims.

If you require more information, please contact Tony Okotie, High Peak CVS Information Officer, telephone 01663 735 350 or email tony@highpeakcvs.org.uk
