This
year the SGP Special Event was held at the Palace Hotel,
Buxton on Saturday, April 23rd. This is a really important
day for the project and is always popular with those who
attend. It's a great opportunity for groups to network,
learn new skills, get information and advice and be entertained
and pampered a bit.
One
of the most uplifting parts of the day is when the groups
describe their activities – you simply can't fail
to be inspired by what local people are achieving in our
community. 60 members attended from 25 different small groups
that have been supported by SGP. Many groups brought their
own display and information. There was a choice of four
workshops, and short presentations were given by many of
the groups. Throughout the day brilliant entertainment was
provided by Shuttlers' Clog, The Last Call - Club Acoustic
and Heartbeat Chorus.
Here
are just a few of the images of a great day.
